Coat drive: November 4-15

It’s time to clean out your closets and gather up those coats you’re no longer using! The Social Action Committee is excited to announce that we will be partnering again with Anton’s Cleaners and their Coats for Kids and Families drive, which will run November 4–15. There will be a collection box in the school lobby, or you can bring them directly to any Anton’s Cleaners location (please tell them you are affiliated with Franklin School if you bring a coat directly there).

What to donate:

  • Coats of all sizes for adults, children, and babies

  • Coats should be in good, wearable condition (no rips/tears, stains, broken zippers)

  • No vests, snow pants, hats, mittens, or accessories

  • Don’t forget to empty out all pockets!

Coats for Kids and Families is New England’s leading coat drive for children and adults. Anton’s professionally cleans all coats, free of charge, before donating them to Coats for Kids and Families. Since the program began in 1995, they’ve collected, cleaned and distributed over one million coats to local families in need.

Coats donated to Coats for Kids and Families go directly to the local communities collecting the coats. They work with over 90 distribution partners, including social service agencies, schools, and religious groups. Cleaned coats are provided to those organizations that will then distribute them throughout the local communities where they see the most need.
